Keyboard Teacher

I have been a professional musician and Peripatetic teacher for 22 years. I studied Double Bass and Piano at London College Of Music, and have worked professionally on both instruments.

After graduating Music College in 1998, I started working as a musician for Holland America and Carnival UK, becoming a Musical Director in 2005. In 2006/07 I recorded an album with producer Trevor Horn called ‘Set The Mood’
(ZTT Records) featuring the track ‘Sun goes down’ which reached No 4 in the UK charts. In 2012 I worked with US Comedienne Joan Rivers as Musical Director for her UK shows.

My professional playing experience is primarily in Theatre and touring. Most recently I have worked with the following shows and artists:

  • London Community Gospel Choir (Songs of Sister Act)
  • Calendar girls UK Tour
  • Motown The Musical UK Tour
  • Queen Of The Night
  • Viola WillsRose Royce
  • Clem Curtis
  • Lemar
  • Kenny Thomas

In 2014 I gained a DipHe in Music For The Media. This is a course for composers who wish to learn how to implement their compositions in a wide range of modern media applications.

Although I enjoy the performance aspect, my main passion and focus is on teaching. I get a real buzz from seeing students get to the next stage of their playing, and hopefully inspire them to continue with music for life.
